For the curious.

The obsessive.

The ones who read the plaque.

This is your tour.

Small-group walking tours of New York City, led by Alex, historian, actor, native New Yorker, and possibly the most interesting person you'll meet on this trip.

Close-up of a smiling man wearing a green beanie and black jacket, with part of two other people visible on either side, outdoors.

I'm Alex. Historian, actor, licensed guide, and the kind of person who will absolutely go down a rabbit hole about 19th century Tammany Hall if you give me the slightest opening.

Howdy, stranger!

I keep my groups small because I want to know the people I'm walking with. These tours work best as conversations, not lectures.

THIS IS NOT THAT KIND OF TOUR

No headsets. No matching lanyards. No forty-person moving trunk-to-tail through Times Square while a guide reads facts off a laminated card.

A Savant Tour is ten people maximum, on foot, moving through the parts of New York that most visitors walk past without knowing what they're standing in front of. Alex talks, people ask questions, you ask better questions, and somewhere around the second hour you realize you've stopped thinking about where you're going next and started actually being somewhere.

It works best for people who already love cities. Who read historical markers. Who come back from trips with stories rather than souvenirs.

Inspirational quote saying 'You know who you are' written in white cursive text on a black background.

Still reading the plaque? Good.

Let's go find some better ones.
